HOPE on September 11TH
It is September 11th and a day to reflect and remember the 10th Anniversary of September 11th 2001, one of the worst days in the history of our country when one of the most horrific acts of terrorism destroyed the lives of so many.
As a result of the attacks on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in NY, the Pentagon in Wash DC and the downed plane in Pennsylvania at least 3047 people lost their lives and 3251 children lost a parent. Our way of Life was changed forever.
The devastating and traumatic events and the tremendous loss of Life that day were far beyond what anyone could have imagined.
And while the magnitude of loss can never really be measured, the extraordinary courage and brotherhood that arose in the midst of those tragedies sheds light on the potential of human nature.
When people needed to come together, they did – they reached out and pulled together to help each other – instinctively without hesitation or thought. The Heroism, sacrifices and the unconditional willingness to help others was ever present and made the difference of life or death to many.
The way strangers were reaching out to save the lives of others, while so many sacrificed their own lives is a testament to the Bravery and the Spirit of Unity that is inherent in who we are as a people.
We should never forget and will forever be affected by the consequences of the tragedies of 9/11.
Let us Honor the remarkable Courage of the many and hold onto that spirit of being Unified as we Reclaim our Power and share in the ongoing Healing process.
Let us not allow ourselves to be victims of fear and hatred or any other elements that weaken the fabric of our sense of good will, community and common ground.
Renewal and Hope is possible even in the midst of our most difficult times and every simple act of kindness should remind us that there is nothing that we cannot overcome together.
Let us have Faith and embrace the Hope for our future and be inspired to reach out to each other in search of the positive possibilities and reunite our collective efforts in honor of who we are and who we know we can be.
Let us always remember and be forever grateful for the inherent goodness of mankind, remember the Bravery and Unity expressed and find strength in the sharing of humanity every day of our lives.
Take the time to Reflect…and HOPE.
